Description

Polished Sulfur Stairs are a bright yellow building block added with the Chaos Cubed drop in Minecraft Java Edition 26.2 on June 16, 2026. Six Polished Sulfur blocks arranged in the standard stair pattern produce four stairs. The smooth golden surface gives roofs, ramps, seating, and stepped foundations a color that is much warmer than sandstone and more vivid than yellow terracotta.

Polished Sulfur Stairs connect into straight runs, inner corners, and outer corners according to neighboring stair placement. Builders can place Polished Sulfur Stairs upright or upside down to shape eaves, arches, window frames, and compact decorative ledges. Sulfur materials originate from the new underground Sulfur Caves biome, so a finished staircase can visually connect a surface build with resources gathered during cave exploration.
