Pink Glazed Terracotta is a glazed building block obtained by smelting pink terracotta in a furnace: one dyed block smelts into one glazed block, while unstained terracotta cannot be smelted at all. No generated structure in Minecraft contains the pink variant — villages, trail ruins, and trial chambers use other colors — so smelting and mason trading are the only sources. Pink Glazed Terracotta requires a pickaxe for mining — a wooden pickaxe already suffices — and drops nothing when mined without one. Glazed terracotta registers a hardness of 1.4 and a blast resistance of 1.4, does not burn, and survives contact with lava.

Pink Glazed Terracotta belongs to the sixteen dye colors of glazed terracotta introduced in Java Edition 1.12 and Bedrock Edition 1.1.0. Each placed glazed terracotta block rotates its texture to match the direction the player faces while placing, and same-color blocks set in the correct orientation across a 2×2 or larger area combine into one continuous image — the reason Pink Glazed Terracotta suits mosaic floors, statement pathways, and tiled bathroom-style interiors. Pink Glazed Terracotta does not stick to slime blocks or honey blocks, cannot be pulled by sticky pistons, but ordinary pistons can still push it. Eight terracotta blocks crafted around one pink dye yield eight pink terracotta, the only smelting input for Pink Glazed Terracotta.
