Pig Spawn Egg
Pig Spawn Egg instantly spawns a pig in Minecraft and is available only from the Creative inventory or the /give command.
Description
Using Pig Spawn Egg on a mob spawner reprograms that spawner to produce pigs in Java Edition, which makes Pig Spawn Egg handy for custom farms and adventure maps. The spawned pig is a passive mob that drops 1–3 raw porkchops, breeds with carrots, potatoes, or beetroot, and can be saddled and steered with a carrot on a stick. A pig struck by lightning transforms into a Zombified Piglin, so map-makers use Pig Spawn Egg to stage weather-based events.

How to use a Pig Spawn Egg in Minecraft
-
1
Get the spawn egg
Switch to Creative mode and find Pig Spawn Egg in the Spawn Eggs tab, or run /give @p pig_spawn_egg in any world that allows commands.
-
2
Aim at a surface
Point the crosshair at the floor or block face where you want the pig to appear; the mob spawns on the side you target.

3
Use the egg
Right-click on Java Edition or tap and hold on Bedrock Edition to spawn one pig instantly each time you use Pig Spawn Egg.
-
4
Reprogram a spawner
In Java Edition, use Pig Spawn Egg on a mob spawner block to convert it into a pig spawner for an automatic porkchop farm.
In Bedrock Edition, spawn eggs cannot change an existing mob spawner — they only spawn the mob directly where you use them.
