Phantom Spawn Egg is a Creative-mode item that spawns a phantom, the flying undead mob introduced in Minecraft Java Edition 1.13 (Update Aquatic) and Bedrock Edition 1.6. Phantom Spawn Egg shows a dark teal base color with lighter grey-blue spots, matching the phantom's leathery, semi-transparent body. Like every spawn egg, Phantom Spawn Egg cannot be crafted in Survival — it is only available from the Creative inventory or through the /give command, and right-clicking a surface releases one phantom at that spot.

Players use Phantom Spawn Egg to test combat, build a phantom membrane farm, or stage night-sky scenes in map-making, since naturally a phantom only appears when a player has gone three in-game nights without sleeping (the insomnia mechanic). A phantom created by Phantom Spawn Egg behaves the same as a wild one: it circles overhead, dive-bombs the nearest player, takes damage in daylight, and drops phantom membrane used to repair elytra and brew the Potion of Slow Falling. For builders, Phantom Spawn Egg is the fastest way to summon the mob on demand without waiting for the insomnia timer.
