Description

Panda Spawn Egg is a Creative-only item that spawns a panda the moment you right-click any solid surface — the egg is consumed and a panda appears standing on that block. Unlike a thrown egg, the Panda Spawn Egg is used directly on the block you target within normal reach distance, and it cannot be crafted or found in Survival mode. Each Panda Spawn Egg belongs to the Creative inventory and stacks to 64, and the item was added to Java Edition in version 1.14 and to Bedrock Edition in 1.8.0 alongside the panda mob itself.

Panda Spawn Egg is the fastest way to bring pandas into a bamboo jungle base, a zoo build, or a breeding farm without travelling to the rare jungle biomes where pandas naturally spawn. Pandas spawned from a Panda Spawn Egg inherit the same variant odds as wild pandas, so roughly 1 in 64 eggs will produce the coveted brown panda and about 1 in 10 a weak panda. Builders use the Panda Spawn Egg to test panda AI, trigger the playful sneeze animation, or populate decorative enclosures, and the item is the only legitimate way to place a panda outside the Jungle, Bamboo Jungle, and Sparse Jungle biomes.

How to use a Panda Spawn Egg in Minecraft

  1. 1

Get the egg from Creative inventory

Open the Creative inventory, search for Panda Spawn Egg, and place it on your hotbar — it is not available in Survival without commands.

  2. 2

Select the egg on your hotbar

Equip the Panda Spawn Egg so it appears in your main hand, ready to use on a target block.

  3. 3

    Right-click a solid surface

Aim at a grass or solid block where you want the panda and right-click — the Panda Spawn Egg is consumed and the panda spawns on that spot.

  4. 4

    Repeat for variant hunting

Keep using Panda Spawn Eggs to roll for the rare brown panda, which has a 1.6% chance of appearing with each spawn.

Creative only

Panda Spawn Egg cannot be crafted, mined, or traded for in Survival — it lives exclusively in the Creative inventory or behind commands.
