Description

Oxidized Cut Copper is the fourth and final stage of copper oxidation, reached after a plain Cut Copper block gradually weathers into Exposed Cut Copper and then Weathered Cut Copper over time. The surface at this stage settles into a teal color scattered with green spots, marking the point where the metal's patina stops changing further on its own. Players get an Oxidized Cut Copper block by crafting four Oxidized Copper blocks in a 2x2 square on the crafting grid, which yields four Oxidized Cut Copper in return, or by cutting a single Oxidized Copper block on a stonecutter for the same four-for-one output. Trial Chambers also generate Oxidized Cut Copper directly, so structure loot rooms can supply the block without any crafting at all.

Right-clicking Oxidized Cut Copper with an axe scrapes off one layer of patina, turning it back into Weathered Cut Copper, while a lightning strike resets the block all the way to unoxidized Cut Copper in a single hit. Builders who want to lock in the aged teal look apply a Honeycomb instead, which produces Waxed Oxidized Cut Copper and stops any further weathering or reverting.
