Orange Glazed Terracotta is a decorative block obtained by smelting orange terracotta — the stained, dyed form — in a furnace with any fuel, one block per smelt. No crafting-table recipe produces Orange Glazed Terracotta, and plain unstained terracotta cannot be smelted into glaze. Breaking requires a pickaxe — mining Orange Glazed Terracotta without one drops nothing. Orange Glazed Terracotta also generates naturally in the armorer houses of savanna villages, and mason villagers sell glazed terracotta in all 16 colors for emeralds, which makes the block renewable (endlessly obtainable through trading). Orange Glazed Terracotta stacks to 64, carries hardness 1.4 and blast resistance 1.4, does not burn, and never catches fire from lava. Glazed terracotta arrived in Minecraft in Java 1.12 and Bedrock 1.1.0, with savanna village generation following in Java 1.14.

Every face of Orange Glazed Terracotta carries a pattern whose orientation follows the direction the player faces while placing, so four blocks laid with matching orientation in a 2×2 square merge into one large continuous design. Pistons and sticky pistons can push Orange Glazed Terracotta, but sticky pistons cannot pull glazed terracotta back, and glazed terracotta never sticks to slime blocks or honey blocks. Players choose Orange Glazed Terracotta when a floor or an accent wall needs a single saturated warm color: the glossy orange pattern frames paths, pools, and market stalls and pairs with neutral terracotta tones.
