Nether Sprouts
Nether Sprouts are a non-solid fungus that grows only in Warped Forest biomes and must be harvested with shears to drop as an item.
Description
Nether Sprouts serve two practical roles for builders and survival players. The plant feeds a composter with a 50% chance of raising the level by one, which makes Nether Sprouts a renewable source of bone meal when a warped-forest farm is nearby. Visually, Nether Sprouts read as a pale, stringy ground decoration that pairs naturally with warped stems, warped nylium, and warped wart blocks in terraformed Nether hubs. Nether Sprouts can be placed on dirt, grass, farmland, podzol, soul soil, and nylium, but the item cannot be planted in a flower pot and breaks the moment the supporting block or flowing water displaces it. Treat Nether Sprouts as a fragile accent block rather than a structural one, since hardness and blast resistance are both 0.

How to get Nether Sprouts in Minecraft
-
1
Travel to a Warped Forest biome
Nether Sprouts generate only in Warped Forest biomes, the teal-tinted Nether biome recognizable by its blue foliage and Enderman population.
-
2
Equip shears before harvesting
Nether Sprouts drop as an item only when broken with shears; any other tool or a bare hand destroys the block with no yield.
-
3
Break the sprouts instantly
Nether Sprouts have a hardness of 0, so shears collect each block the moment the player clicks with no mining time.
-
4
Grow more with bone meal on nylium
Bone meal applied to warped nylium spawns Nether Sprouts and surrounding vegetation, giving the player a renewable supply without scouring more biomes.
Nether Sprouts can sit on dirt, grass, farmland, podzol, soul soil, and nylium, but the block cannot be placed in a flower pot and breaks if the supporting block is removed or water flows through it.

Frequently asked questions
Can you craft Nether Sprouts in Minecraft?
No. Nether Sprouts have no crafting recipe and cannot be smelted or brewed, so the only way to obtain the item is to harvest the block with shears in a Warped Forest biome.
What tool do you need to collect Nether Sprouts?
Shears are required. Nether Sprouts break instantly with any tool, but only shears make the block drop as an item that enters the inventory.
Are Nether Sprouts renewable?
Yes. Bone meal used on warped nylium generates new Nether Sprouts, so a player with a warped-forest area can farm the block indefinitely.
What biome does Nether Sprouts spawn in?
Nether Sprouts generate only in Warped Forest biomes as a ground cover on warped nylium, and the plant has no crimson-equivalent variant.
What are Nether Sprouts used for?
Nether Sprouts are used mainly as decoration on Nether-themed builds and as composter fuel, where each item has a 50% chance of raising the compost level by one.
Can Nether Sprouts be placed in a flower pot?
No. Nether Sprouts cannot be planted in a flower pot, and the block breaks if the supporting block beneath it is removed or displaced by water.
