An expert-level mason sells 12 blocks for 1 emerald, with 15 trades in stock, keeping Magenta Glazed Terracotta renewable (a block you can obtain endlessly by repeating trades). Magenta Glazed Terracotta requires a pickaxe to harvest: a wooden pickaxe does the job in 1.05 seconds, a stone pickaxe in 0.55, and mining by hand drops nothing. Hardness and blast resistance both sit at 1.4.

The pattern of Magenta Glazed Terracotta rotates with the direction the player faces while placing, so a 2×2 square or a larger surface in matching orientation merges into one image. The magenta texture carries a directional arrow that builders use for wayfinding — pointing to exits, paths, or hidden rooms — while cyan glazed terracotta hides a creeper face and purple glazed terracotta a sword hilt.
