Description
The Light Weighted Pressure Plate measures entity count rather than item count, emitting a redstone signal strength from 0 to 15 where each entity on the plate adds one level of signal — a single mob, player, or even a stack of 64 dropped items counts as 1. This makes the gold plate the precise detector in the family: the iron Heavy Weighted Pressure Plate is tuned for measuring large crowds, while the Light Weighted Pressure Plate reads small counts one to one. Players wire the plate to doors, lamps, and traps whenever a head-count output is needed, and a 7.3% chance to spawn as loot in Ruined Portal chests offers a second way to obtain one.
