Light Blue Cushion is a placeable entity added to Java Edition in 26.3 — a thin seat 0.249 blocks tall that players sit on. Cushions cannot be mined: any hit, projectile, or piston push instantly breaks a Light Blue Cushion, and the cushion always drops itself. Crafting turns three light blue wool slabs into one Light Blue Cushion, and any cushion combined with light blue dye becomes a Light Blue Cushion. Light Blue Cushion stacks to 16 and is renewable (players can obtain the cushion endlessly). The block underneath acts as support and is checked every 100 game ticks (5 seconds); a Light Blue Cushion breaks shortly after losing support.

Light Blue Cushion works as seating and decoration: pressing use on the cushion sits a player down, and a seated player ignores knockback, geysers, pistons, and portals until standing up. The cushion has no collision, so a Light Blue Cushion rests on any surface less than one block tall, including slabs, stairs, snow layers, and enchanting tables. Abandoned camps generate cushions of all 16 colors within 1–2 blocks of a campfire, making camps a natural place to find light blue seating. As furnace fuel, four Light Blue Cushions smelt one item, with each cushion burning 50 game ticks (2.5 seconds). A line of cushions with two blocks between neighbors turns sitting into travel: holding the use key reaches 15 m/s. Unlike wool-based blocks, cushions do not dampen vibrations, and sculk sensors detect every sit-down on a Light Blue Cushion.
