How to use Infested Mossy Stone Bricks in Minecraft
-
1
Get the block
Open the Creative inventory and search "infested", or run /give @s minecraft:infested_mossy_stone_bricks, since it cannot be mined in Survival.
-
2
Place the trap
Put the block among real mossy stone bricks so its identical texture hides it from other players.
-
3
Trigger the silverfish
Breaking the block spawns one silverfish that emerges and attacks the nearest player.
-
4
Avoid the chain reaction
Kill the silverfish quickly; if it touches other infested blocks it wakes them, releasing a whole swarm.
In Survival the block drops nothing and Silk Touch does not work on it. In strongholds, watch your mining speed: infested blocks break faster than normal mossy stone bricks.

Frequently asked questions
Can you get Infested Mossy Stone Bricks in Survival?
No. Breaking it spawns a silverfish and drops nothing, and Silk Touch does not work, so you get it only from the Creative inventory or the /give command.
Where do Infested Mossy Stone Bricks generate?
They generate naturally inside strongholds, hidden among the normal stone brick blocks.
How do I tell it apart from real mossy stone bricks?
The texture is identical; the only tell is mining speed, since infested blocks break noticeably faster.
What happens when you break it?
A single silverfish emerges and attacks. If it touches other infested blocks it wakes them, creating a swarm.
