Description

Infested Cobblestone is a Vanilla Minecraft block that looks like normal cobblestone but releases a silverfish when broken without Silk Touch. Infested Cobblestone is not craftable in Survival mode and is mainly encountered as a disguised hazard rather than a player-made block. The key clue is mining speed: infested blocks break faster than the real stone variant, so careful players can spot a suspicious block before opening a stronghold wall or old structure.

Infested Cobblestone is mainly a hazard and map-making block rather than a building material. A silverfish can create Infested Cobblestone by hiding in nearby cobblestone when mob griefing is enabled, and the block can also appear in structure or command-driven setups.
