Infested Cobblestone
Infested Cobblestone hides a silverfish threat behind a normal cobblestone texture.
Description
Infested Cobblestone is mainly a hazard and map-making block rather than a building material. A silverfish can create Infested Cobblestone by hiding in nearby cobblestone when mob griefing is enabled, and the block can also appear in structure or command-driven setups. Use Silk Touch if the goal is to collect the disguised block safely; otherwise, prepare space and a weapon before mining clustered suspicious stone.

How to handle Infested Cobblestone in Minecraft
-
1
Watch the break speed
Mine suspicious cobblestone slowly and compare the break speed with nearby real cobblestone before opening a wall.
-
2
Use Silk Touch
Use a Silk Touch tool if you want to collect Infested Cobblestone without releasing the silverfish inside.
-
3
Clear fighting room
Make space around the block before mining without Silk Touch, because the silverfish can escape into nearby stone blocks.
Infested Cobblestone has no Survival crafting recipe; treat the block as a structure hazard, command/map-making block, or disguised trap.
