Description

Husk Spawn Egg is a spawn egg in Minecraft that summons a husk, the desert variant of the zombie. Husk Spawn Egg has a tan body color with darker spots that match the husk's sandy skin. Husks spawn naturally in desert biomes, but the spawn egg lets you place one anywhere instantly by aiming at a block and using the egg.

The husk summoned by Husk Spawn Egg behaves differently from a normal zombie. It does not burn in daylight, so it stays a threat through the day in any biome. When a husk hits a player, the attack applies the Hunger effect, which drains the food bar faster. If a husk's head is submerged in water for several seconds, it drowns and converts into an ordinary zombie. Husks drop rotten flesh and can rarely drop iron ingots, carrots, or potatoes.

Husk Spawn Egg is only available from the Creative inventory or the /give command and cannot be crafted in Survival. Builders use it to test mob farms, populate desert-themed maps, and set up combat arenas without waiting for natural spawns.

Usage Guide

How to use a Husk Spawn Egg in Minecraft

  1. 1

    Get the spawn egg

Open the Creative inventory and search "Husk Spawn Egg", or run /give @s minecraft:husk_spawn_egg in Survival worlds with cheats on.

  2. 2

    Aim at a block

Point the crosshair at the floor or surface where the husk should appear; the egg spawns the mob on the targeted face.

  3. 3

    Use the egg

Right-click (or use the place control) to spawn one husk per use; sneak-using on a mob spawner sets the spawner's mob instead.

  4. 4

    Manage the husk

Keep it out of deep water, because a submerged husk drowns and converts into a normal zombie after a few seconds.

Important

Spawn eggs are Creative/command items only and cannot be crafted; the husk they create does not burn in daylight.
