Description

Golden Boots are the gold-tier boots in Minecraft, crafted from 4 gold ingots and worn in the boots armor slot for 1 armor point. They carry gold armor's biggest trade-off: very low durability (91 uses), but the highest enchantability of any armor material, so an enchanting table usually rolls stronger and more numerous enchantments on them than on iron or diamond. Their standout perk appears in the Nether: wearing any gold armor piece, including Golden Boots, keeps piglins neutral so they will not attack the player without reason. Boots accept boot-specific enchantments such as Feather Falling, Depth Strider, Frost Walker, and Soul Speed, plus general ones like Protection, Thorns, Unbreaking, and Mending. You can craft them yourself, find them in chest loot, or rarely get them from zombies and other mobs that spawn wearing armor. Because gold wears out fast, most players treat Golden Boots as an early-game or Nether-utility item rather than a permanent defensive choice.

How to use Golden Boots in Minecraft

Golden Boots have only 91 durability and break quickly without enchantments — add Unbreaking and Mending if you plan to keep them.
