How to use a Goat Spawn Egg in Minecraft
-
1
Open the Creative inventory
Switch to Creative mode, search for 'Goat Spawn Egg', and place it in your hotbar. In Survival, run /give @s minecraft:goat_spawn_egg instead.
-
2
Aim at a solid surface
Point your crosshair at the ground or any solid block where you want the goat to appear.
-
3
Right-click to spawn the goat
Use the egg to spawn an adult goat at that spot. In Survival each use consumes one egg.
-
4
Manage the goat
Leash it, fence it in, or breed two goats with wheat to build a herd; a goat may ram you, so add a barrier if needed.
Goats and their spawn egg were added in Java and Bedrock Edition 1.17. About 2% of spawned goats are screaming goats that ram more often.
