Gilded Blackstone
Gilded Blackstone is a gold-flecked variant of blackstone that generates in Nether bastion remnants and can drop gold nuggets when mined.
Description
When broken with a plain pickaxe, Gilded Blackstone has a 10% chance to drop 2-5 gold nuggets instead of the block itself, and the Fortune enchantment raises that chance — Fortune III gives roughly a 100% nugget chance. A pickaxe with Silk Touch always returns the intact Gilded Blackstone block for building. Because Gilded Blackstone cannot be crafted or polished, players prize it purely as a loot indicator and as a luxurious accent block for Nether-themed bases, throne rooms, and gold-trimmed walls.

How to find and mine Gilded Blackstone in Minecraft
-
1
Travel to the Nether
Build a nether portal and enter the Nether, then explore until you locate a large bastion remnant structure.
-
2
Search the bastion
Gilded Blackstone generates throughout bastion remnants, especially in treasure rooms and as scattered blocks in the floors and walls.
-
3
Mine with a pickaxe
Break Gilded Blackstone with any pickaxe; without a pickaxe the block drops nothing at all.
-
4
Choose your enchantment
Use Fortune to maximise gold nugget drops, or Silk Touch to collect the intact Gilded Blackstone block for building.
Bastion remnants are guarded by piglins and piglin brutes, so bring gold armor and combat gear before mining Gilded Blackstone.

No. Gilded Blackstone cannot be crafted; it only generates naturally in bastion remnants in the Nether.
What does Gilded Blackstone drop?
Gilded Blackstone has a 10% chance to drop 2-5 gold nuggets when mined with a plain pickaxe, otherwise it drops itself. Fortune increases the nugget chance and Silk Touch always drops the block.
What version added Gilded Blackstone?
Gilded Blackstone was added in Minecraft 1.16, the Nether Update, in both Java and Bedrock Edition.
Can Gilded Blackstone be polished like blackstone?
No. Unlike regular blackstone, Gilded Blackstone has no polished, stair, slab, or wall variants and is used only as a decorative full block.
