Gilded Blackstone is a decorative gold-embedded stone that generates naturally only in bastion remnants in the Nether, introduced in Minecraft 1.16 (the Nether Update). Gilded Blackstone shares blackstone's dark charcoal tone but is speckled with glinting gold nuggets across its texture, making the block instantly recognisable inside bastion treasure rooms. Gilded Blackstone has a hardness of 1.5 and a blast resistance of 6, identical to regular blackstone, and must be mined with a pickaxe of any tier to drop anything.

When broken with a plain pickaxe, Gilded Blackstone has a 10% chance to drop 2-5 gold nuggets instead of the block itself, and the Fortune enchantment raises that chance — Fortune III gives roughly a 100% nugget chance. A pickaxe with Silk Touch always returns the intact Gilded Blackstone block for building. Because Gilded Blackstone cannot be crafted or polished, players prize it purely as a loot indicator and as a luxurious accent block for Nether-themed bases, throne rooms, and gold-trimmed walls.
