Frog Spawn Egg is a Creative-only item in Minecraft that summons a temperate, warm, or cold frog on any solid top surface when used by a player. The egg is not craftable, not obtainable in Survival, and is never renewable — players pull it from the Creative inventory, pick-block an existing frog, or spawn it through the /give command. Each use consumes one egg, the egg stacks to 64, and only matching eggs stack together. When fired from a dispenser, Frog Spawn Egg spawns the frog directly in front of the machine and is consumed in the process.

Frog Spawn Egg lets mapmakers and Creative builders place biome-accurate frogs on demand, because the frog's type — orange temperate, white warm, or green cold — is locked to the biome where the spawn happens. Using the egg on an existing frog produces a baby frog instead of an adult, which is the fastest way to seed a frog farm in a controlled enclosure. The egg also works on a spawner or trial spawner to change which mob it generates, and it can spawn frogs into water or lava source blocks when no solid surface is in reach. Frog Spawn Egg was added in Java Edition 1.19 (snapshot 22w11a) and Bedrock Edition 1.19.0, alongside the frog mob itself.
