Description

Flower Charge Banner Pattern is a reusable decoration item that stamps a large circular flower charge onto a banner inside a loom. Crafted from one paper and one oxeye daisy in any shapeless arrangement on a crafting table, the Flower Charge Banner Pattern was added in Java Edition 1.14 and Bedrock Edition 1.10.0 as part of the Village & Pillage update. The item stacks to only 1, but the pattern is never consumed when applied, so a single Flower Charge Banner Pattern can decorate hundreds of banners in any dye color.

Flower Charge Banner Pattern is the only banner pattern craftable directly on a crafting table, which makes the flower charge the most accessible of the seven Java Edition designs. Other patterns such as creeper, skull, globe, and bordure indented require chest loot, trading, or specific mobs, while oxeye daisies grow freely in plains, sunflower plains, and flower forest biomes. Builders pair the flower charge with contrasting dyes to mark shops, taverns, and village waypoints, and the symmetrical round motif reads clearly even on small wall banners viewed from a distance.

How to use a Flower Charge Banner Pattern in Minecraft

  1. 1

    Craft the pattern item

Place one paper and one oxeye daisy anywhere in a crafting table. The shapeless recipe yields one Flower Charge Banner Pattern instantly.

  2. 2

    Open a loom

Right-click a loom and insert one banner in the left slot, one dye in the center slot, and the Flower Charge Banner Pattern in the right slot.

  3. 3

    Pick a dye color

The dye sets the color of the flower emblem. Switch dyes to preview every color variant without spending the pattern.

  4. 4

    Take the finished banner

Pull the decorated banner from the output slot. The Flower Charge Banner Pattern returns to the inventory undamaged and ready for the next banner.

Tip

Flower Charge Banner Pattern is the only banner pattern craftable on a crafting table; all other Java Edition patterns require chest loot, mob drops, or villager trading.

Frequently asked questions

Can you craft a Flower Charge Banner Pattern?

Yes. Combine one paper and one oxeye daisy anywhere on a crafting table to produce one Flower Charge Banner Pattern.

Is the Flower Charge Banner Pattern consumed when used?

No. The pattern stays in the loom slot after applying the flower charge and can decorate unlimited banners.

What version added the Flower Charge Banner Pattern?

Java Edition 1.14 and Bedrock Edition 1.10.0 added the Flower Charge Banner Pattern as part of the Village & Pillage update.

Yes. Paper comes from sugar cane and oxeye daisies regrow in plains biomes, so the recipe can be repeated indefinitely.

How is the Flower Charge Banner Pattern different from other banner patterns?

It is the only banner pattern craftable on a crafting table; the other six Java Edition patterns require chest loot, mob drops, or villager trading.

How many Flower Charge Banner Patterns stack together?
