Description
Enchanting Table is the centrepiece of every endgame setup. It is crafted from one book on top, four obsidian on the sides and bottom, and two diamonds — a recipe that demands a Survival player has already reached the diamond tier. Right-clicking the table opens an interface with three random enchantment slots; each costs experience levels and a unit of lapis lazuli to apply. The pseudo-random offers refresh whenever the player adds or removes items from nearby bookshelves.
The trick to maximum-tier enchantments is bookshelves: place fifteen of them one block away, with one block of air between, and the table can offer level-30 enchantments such as Sharpness V, Protection IV, or Mending. Without bookshelves the maximum offered level is 8, which is too weak for serious progression. The mysterious floating runes that appear when the player approaches are pure decoration — but they signal that bookshelves are correctly positioned.
