How to use the Dune Armor Trim Smithing Template in Minecraft
-
1
Find a desert temple
Locate a desert pyramid in a desert biome and dig into the central pit hidden below the orange-and-blue terracotta marker on the floor.
-
2
Loot the hidden chests
Disable the TNT pressure plate at the bottom of the pit, then open the four chests; the Dune Armor Trim Smithing Template appears here as common loot.
-
3
Apply the trim at a smithing table
Place the Dune template, one armor piece, and a trim material such as gold or copper into the smithing table to stamp the dune pattern onto the armor.
-
4
Duplicate the template
Combine the Dune template with 7 diamonds and 1 sandstone in a crafting table to make a second copy and trim a full armor set.
Armor trims change appearance only — defense, toughness, and enchantments stay identical in both Java and Bedrock Edition since the 1.20 update.
