Description

Donkey Spawn Egg is a Creative-only item that instantly spawns one donkey, the brown pack animal added in Minecraft 1.6.1 (the Horse Update). Click any block face to release a donkey with between 15 and 30 health points, the same randomized range used for horses. Donkeys are passive and never attack, and in survival you cannot obtain this egg — donkeys spawn naturally in herds of 1 to 3 across plains and meadow biomes. Tame a donkey by mounting it with an empty hand until hearts appear, then equip a saddle to ride it. Unlike a horse, a donkey can wear a chest, granting 15 extra inventory slots of portable storage, but a donkey cannot equip horse armor. Breed two tamed donkeys with a golden carrot or golden apple to get a foal, or breed a donkey with a horse to create a sterile mule. The Donkey Spawn Egg works the same in Java Edition and Bedrock Edition, appearing in the Creative inventory or coming from the /give command, and is the fastest way to set up a pack animal without searching the plains.

How to use a Donkey Spawn Egg in Minecraft
