How to find and equip Diamond Horse Armor in Minecraft
-
1
Find it in a chest
Diamond Horse Armor only spawns as loot, so search chests in dungeons, desert and jungle temples, nether fortresses, end cities, and village weaponsmiths.
-
2
Tame a horse
Mount a wild horse repeatedly until hearts appear; you can only fit armor on a tamed horse.
-
3
Open the horse inventory
While riding, press the inventory key (E in Java) or tap the inventory button in Bedrock to open the horse's equipment slots.
-
4
Equip the armor
Drag the Diamond Horse Armor into the armor slot left of the saddle slot; the horse instantly shows diamond plating.
Only ordinary horses can wear armor. Donkeys, mules, llamas, and camels have no armor slot, and the armor itself never breaks or loses durability.
