Description

Deepslate Tile Wall is a decorative wall variant of Deepslate Tiles that generates naturally in ancient cities and is used for building. Any pickaxe harvests Deepslate Tile Wall — a wooden pickaxe already qualifies — while mining without a pickaxe drops nothing. Deepslate Tile Wall registers 3.5 hardness and 6 blast resistance. Deepslate Tile Wall counts as transparent and waterloggable (water can occupy the same block space).

Six Deepslate Tiles placed in two rows of three on a crafting table produce six Deepslate Tile Walls, and a stonecutter widens the ingredient list: one Deepslate, Cobbled Deepslate, Polished Deepslate, Deepslate Bricks, or Deepslate Tiles item converts into one Deepslate Tile Wall. Ancient cities generate Deepslate Tile Walls naturally — since Java Edition 1.19 and Bedrock Edition 1.18.30 — and remain the only natural source. Deepslate Tile Wall joined Minecraft in Java Edition 1.17 and Bedrock Edition 1.17.0. The stonecutter route straight from raw Deepslate skips crafting Deepslate Tiles first and saves ingredients on long wall runs.

How to Get Deepslate Tile Walls in Minecraft

  1. 1

Craft six walls from six Deepslate Tiles

Place six Deepslate Tiles in two rows of three on a crafting table. The recipe outputs six Deepslate Tile Walls.

  2. 2

    Cut walls in a stonecutter

Put one Deepslate, Cobbled Deepslate, Polished Deepslate, Deepslate Bricks, or Deepslate Tiles item into a stonecutter. Each single item yields one Deepslate Tile Wall.

  3. 3

    Harvest walls in ancient cities

Travel to an ancient city, where Deepslate Tile Walls have generated since Java Edition 1.19 and Bedrock Edition 1.18.30. Break the walls with any pickaxe.

Always carry a pickaxe

Deepslate Tile Wall drops nothing when mined without a pickaxe, so keep at least a wooden pickaxe in the inventory.
