Deepslate Gold Ore
Deepslate Gold Ore is the deep-cave variant of gold — concentrated near the bottom of the world with the same drops as the surface form.

Description
Deepslate Gold Ore generates from y=−64 up to y=32, with the highest density around y=−16 — well below the surface gold layer, which means most gold a Survival player ever mines today comes from this deepslate variant. The texture pairs dark grey deepslate with bright yellow specks that read clearly even in low torchlight, making it easier to spot than the older stone version.
An iron pickaxe is the minimum required tool — anything weaker drops nothing. Mining yields one piece of raw gold, with Fortune providing bonus rolls. Raw gold smelts to gold ingots in a furnace and, less famously, also drops directly when zombified piglins are killed in the Nether. Gold's primary uses are clocks, golden tools and apples, powered rails, and trades with piglins, who barter for it on sight. Silk Touch returns the ore intact for ore-display rooms.
