Description
Cat Spawn Egg lets builders and map-makers place cats anywhere without searching villages or swamp huts, where cats normally generate. A spawned cat can be tamed with raw cod or raw salmon, after which the cat scares away creepers and phantoms within 16 blocks. Tamed cats also leave morning gifts such as string, feathers, or a rabbit's foot when the player wakes. In Survival, Cat Spawn Egg is unavailable, so taming a village cat remains the only way to get a feline companion.

Open the Creative inventory
Press E in Creative mode and search for "Cat Spawn Egg" in the search tab, or run /give @s cat_spawn_egg to get it in Survival via commands.

Aim at a solid block with open space above and right-click (use item) to spawn an adult cat at that location.

Right-click directly on an existing cat with the Cat Spawn Egg to spawn a baby kitten instead of an adult cat.

Hold raw cod or raw salmon and feed the spawned cat until hearts appear and a collar marks it as tamed.
Cat Spawn Egg appears only in the Creative inventory or through commands. In Survival without cheats, cats must be found and tamed in villages or swamp huts.
