Bamboo Shelf is a decorative block that displays up to three stacks of items on its front, one stack per slot.
Description
Redstone power turns Bamboo Shelf into a hotbar swapper (the hotbar is the row of nine quick-access slots): while powered, the three slots work together, and one use exchanges all three items with the three rightmost hotbar slots. Two or three powered Bamboo Shelf blocks side by side connect and swap six or nine hotbar slots at once. Bamboo Shelf is renewable (the supply never runs out) and stacks to 64 in the inventory.

A Crafting Table turns six Blocks of Stripped Bamboo, set in two lines of three with an empty line between them, into six Bamboo Shelf blocks.

Fill the slots
Using a slot on an unpowered Bamboo Shelf swaps that slot with the item in the main hand. Bamboo Shelf displays every stored item on its front, so filled slots are visible at a glance.

Power Bamboo Shelf
A redstone signal makes the three slots of Bamboo Shelf work as one, so a single use swaps all three items with the three rightmost hotbar slots.

Connect powered shelves
Two or three powered Bamboo Shelf blocks placed side by side merge their slots, and using any one of the connected shelves swaps six or nine hotbar slots.
A Hopper or a Dropper fills Bamboo Shelf automatically, and a Hopper placed underneath pulls items back out. Items enter and leave from left to right, stacking into one slot until that slot is full.
