How to use the Armadillo Spawn Egg in Minecraft
-
1
Get the spawn egg
Open the Creative inventory and search 'armadillo', or run /give @s minecraft:armadillo_spawn_egg in any game mode to obtain the egg.
-
2
Aim at a block
Hold the spawn egg and point your crosshair at the top face of a grass, dirt, or stone block where the armadillo should appear.
-
3
Spawn the armadillo
Right-click (or tap) the block to spawn a fully grown armadillo at that spot.
-
4
Collect scute
Wait for the armadillo to shed armadillo scute, or use a brush on it, then craft wolf armor from six scutes.
Spawn eggs only appear in the Creative inventory. In Survival you can use one only if you obtain it through a command. Armadillos were added in Java 1.20.5 and Bedrock 1.20.80.

What does the Armadillo Spawn Egg do?
It spawns a live adult armadillo when you right-click a solid block, even outside savanna and badlands biomes.

Does the Armadillo Spawn Egg work in Survival?
