Do I need an API key?

No. Reading needs nothing at all. Creating a log needs nothing either. Only deleting a log — or reading its view statistics — needs the token you were given when you created it.

What happens to a player's private data?

Every log is cleaned before it is stored: IP addresses, e-mail addresses, the account name inside file paths, Minecraft session tokens, API keys and passwords. The response tells you exactly what was removed. Loopback addresses and public DNS servers are deliberately kept, because hiding them would destroy diagnostic value and protect nobody.

How long do logs live?

Ninety days from the last time somebody opened the page — not from when it was created. A link people keep using keeps working; a link nobody opens cleans itself up. API reads deliberately do not extend it, or a monitor polling an endpoint would keep logs alive forever.

Can I use this in a paid product?

Yes. Build it into your hosting panel or your paid launcher. We only ask that you do not present the analysis as your own work, and that you keep to the rate limits.

What if my log is bigger than the limit?

It is truncated rather than rejected — someone with an enormous log usually has the worst problem. The response tells you it happened, so you can warn them.

Can I call the API from a browser?

Yes. The public endpoints answer with an open CORS policy, so a web page on any domain can call them without running a proxy of its own. The rate-limit headers are exposed to JavaScript too, so a browser client can slow itself down before it gets turned away.

AlaCraft API

Free Minecraft log checking for your panel, bot or script. No key, no sign-up.

Everything the Log Checker does from a browser, your own software can do over HTTP: upload a crash report or a server log, get back what broke and a link to share. Reading needs no key and no account. Below is every endpoint with runnable examples in five languages, a console to try them without leaving the page, and a plain list of what each error code means.

Your first request

This works right now — copy it into a terminal. It reads a real log that lives here permanently as an example.
