Description

Trial Spawner is found only in Trial Chambers — the underground structures introduced in Java 1.21. Unlike regular spawners, it tracks the number of players within range and adjusts the total mob count per wave accordingly, so solo players face fewer enemies than a full group. Once all mobs in a wave are defeated, each nearby player has a chance to receive a Trial Key, the currency used to open Vault blocks.

After rewards are distributed, the spawner enters a cooldown and cannot be reactivated by the same player for a set period. This prevents players from farming one room repeatedly in a single session. An Ominous Trial Spawner variant activates when players have Bad Omen and sends harder mob variants with better reward chances. The block cannot be obtained or moved in Survival mode and does not respond to redstone — it operates entirely on its own internal logic tied to player proximity.
